The Aged Care Quality Standards are a set of 8 standards that outline the expected level of care for older people receiving aged care services in Australia.
These standards, introduced in 2019, ensure that care is safe, respectful, and promotes the well-being and dignity of individuals receiving care. The standards are set out in law under the Aged Care Act 1997.
Australian Dental Association (ADA) Guidelines emphasize the need for regular oral assessments, improved oral hygiene programs, and access to dental care, including affordable transport and sufficient resources.
